TODAY’S ACTION: Tell Stenehjem you don’t support the travel ban

North Dakota

TODAY’S ACTION: North Dakota is one of 16 states which have petitioned the Supreme Court to defend Trump’s ban on travelers from six Muslim-majority countries. The brief states the “travel ban” order did not unconstitutionally single out Muslims and was needed to protect national security.
This is a unilateral action by the current North Dakota administration and the Attorney General’s office in Bismarck to uphold Trump’s executive order which is currently being fought out in the court system.
Today let’s call Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem’s office at 701-328-2210 in Bismarck to protest this unilateral action on behalf of the state of North Dakota. Tell him this “travel ban” is in violation of the first amendment and does not represent the views of all North Dakotans.

Great news, Minnesotans! Governor Dayton has signed on with other states to uphold the Paris Accord. In addition to our great state, the states that have joined the U.S. Climate Alliance now include California, Washington, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia.
